  Career Cruising is a website designed to help students decide and plan their future. Students take quizzes that give them examples of what careers might interest them. The website then gives them information on those careers like the earnings, what type of degree is needed, and the attributes/abilities needed for the job. I took some of the quizzes and the five results that interested me and related to E-communications most were Director, Director of Photography, Photojournalist, Multimedia Developer, and an Animator. A Director of Photography is in charge of creating an alternate world for a film or TV production. Photojournalists focus on capturing photography worthy of being in magazines or in the news. A Multimedia Developer works to create websites, apps, and games. Animators draw a series of images to create a film or cartoon.  A Director turns a script into a film, tv show, or play. Some popular directors are Steven Spielberg, Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino, ...

 Our class has been working on SketchUp to build a model house for about two weeks. We had to choose a house with at least five hundred square feet, I chose this one. I thought the design was really modern and intricate and I wanted to challenge myself to build this house. Roof Texture  We were supposed to use at least two seamless textures to design the house. I ended up using four textures for the roof, siding, and front design. I tried to find a modern looking texture for the front design, I found some T shaped white tiles that stood out. Modern designs often consist of black and white colors which is why the tiles caught my eye. I also used a grey tile texture that resembled the original model for the other part of the front design. For the roof I chose a black seamless design that I thought was the right amount of simple for the model. As for the siding I stuck to the black and white theme and chose a black siding that had a wood texture. Front design #1...

  When asked what words I would use to describe myself, sarcastic and honest immediately came to my head. I can be very brutally honest and I believe that honesty is key to having healthy relationship with the people around you. I can also be extremely sarcastic, it is my way of communicating with my friends and family. Once I started brainstorming words like introvert, emotional, overthinking, movie junkie, passionate, confused, bad humor, and a mess came to mind. These words are ones that I feel define the worst and best parts of my personality.    For my animation I tried to be creative. For the words 'a mess' I tried to make it transition in a more messy way than the other words. As for the rest of the words I tried to mix it up. I made some words like honest enlarge. For the rest I did a normal transition like moving on to the page from different directions. 

Our group (in the back) sketching out ideas   The sidewalk chalk experience was a great time. We got to work with other people and combine our ideas to create an interesting work of art. I worked with Drew and Blake. Our group was a little quiet but we all got our ideas through.  Everyone did a great job at participating and supporting each other's art work. In our next team activity I will try to prepare myself more so my work is more thought out. Our...interesting piece of art         We chose our symbols individually. We chose the raven to symbolize Olathe Northwest  and we chose the color blue because that's it's original color. I chose a bear since it symbolizes strength. Drew chose a unicorn and Blake chose a camera since he wants to be a film maker. The stick figure was to fill up an empty space but I feel it represents the more humorous side of us.We colored our symbols so they looked accurate.
